2026 election results

These are not the final results. They are the City's unofficial results, read from its results page every two minutes. The City Clerk certifies the official results later in the week; this site's results archive takes its 2026 figures from that declaration, not from this page.

Council, ward by ward

Who leads each ward, and by how large a share

Colour shows the leader's standing: a newcomer, a sitting councillor, or a past councillor; the deeper the shade, the larger their share of the vote, from 20% or less to 70% or more.

Select a ward for every race it votes in.
Shade deepens with the leader's share of the ward's vote, as the key above shows. "Sitting councillor" means a member of the current council, elected under the previous ward boundaries; "past councillor", someone who sat on council before but does not now, as each candidate's page sets out.

Select a ward on the map or in the list above for its councillor race and its school board trustee races.

School board trustees

Where these results come from. The City's unofficial results page, like every race on this page. The City is filling in its trustee tables a few counts at a time, so a zone is shown here only once every count in it has been posted; until then it stays grey.

Each map is one board, each shape one trustee zone, drawn from the wards the certified candidate list says it covers; the dotted lines are the ward boundaries beneath.
A zone is shaded by whoever leads it, on the council map's scale and colours ("sitting" meaning a trustee elected in 2022, "past" one elected before that who holds no seat now). Both French-language boards elect one trustee for all of Barrie. Select a ward on the council map for each zone's full count.
